Diamond jewelry is thought to be the end all and be all of jewelry. Diamonds are the hardest substance known to man, and actually they are also one of the most thermally conductive substances as well. They are a crystallized form of carbon and their strength stems from the atomic bonding pattern of the carbon atoms.

But the aspect of diamonds that make diamond jewelry so sought after is their brilliance. Diamonds reflect and refract light at a simply amazing rate, and their clear composition makes them unique among gemstones. No other stone is as brilliant as a diamond, and that is the heart of their appeal.

Diamond jewelry comprises just about every type of jewelry. There are tennis bracelets, pendants, necklaces, earrings, finger rings, and even body jewelry that incorporate diamonds. Perhaps the best known jewelry is bridal jewelry, which are engagement rings and wedding bands. These are the biggest ticket jewelry items that most people buy, although ideally they don’t buy many of them.
